1.World Suicide Prevention Day, on 10 September, is organized by the International Association for Suicide Prevention (IASP) with WHO as a co-sponsor of the day with a purpose to raise awareness around the globe that suicide can be prevented.India suicide rate 16.5/100,000 people highest in SE Asia: WHO.

2.Mumbai occupied 5th position in a report titled- Insights on Co-living – An Asia-Pacific Perspective, which covered 20 major Asia-Pacific cities. New Delhi is ranked 11th and Bengaluru 19th. Beijing, Tokyo, Shanghai & Hong Kong occupy top 4 slots.Report classified cities with 6 key attributes.

3.Culture ministry has planned for authentic reconstruction of 11 historic sites, including Hampi & Indus Valley, as part of Rs 27,000-crore, 5-year plan along with Archaeological Survey of India, which is the agency tasked with conservation of sites.Setting up 100 experiential museums also planned by Ministry.

4.NITI Aayog Vice-Chairman, Dr. Rajiv Kumar & He Lifeng, Chairman, NDRC China, held in-depth discussions to review trade and investment climate, and harness synergies for future engagement in New Delhi.China Currency: Renminbi; President: Xi Jinping.

5.PM Modi & Nepal's PM K.P. Sharma Oli jointly inaugurated the 69 km long Motihari-Amlekhgunj cross border petroleum products pipeline through video conference. This is 1st transnational petroleum pipeline from India & 1st South Asian oil pipeline corridor.

6.Microsoft has named Rajiv Kumar as managing director of Microsoft India (R&D) who has worked as corporate VP of Microsoft’s Experiences & Devices (E+D) Group, Kumar is taking on this added responsibility from Anil Bhansali.Microsoft CEO: Satya Nadella.

7.6-member RBI committee, under the chairmanship of Harsh Vardhan has recommended that an intermediary be set up under the National Housing Bank (NHB), wherein the government will have a 51% ownership.Proposed initial capital for intermediary: Rs 500 cr.

8.IDBI Bank seeking a huge potential customer base in LIC’s 29 crore policyholders, 11.80 lakh agents, and 1.12 lakh employees to cross-sell, among others, credit cards and home loans has planned to launch a co-branded credit card with LIC CSLLIC acquired 51% stake in IDBI in Jan 2019.

9.SBI has entered into a tie-up with Kudumbashree Broiler Farmers Producers Company for financing poultry farmers under the Kudumbashree project, which is the State’s Poverty Eradication Mission that doubles up as a campaign for women empowerment.Max Loan limit under MUDRA: Rs 10 Lakh (Tarun).

10.India Ratings revised its outlook for the NBFCs to negative from stable maintaining its negative outlook on large ticket housing finance companies (HFCs). Growth forecast for NBFCs for FY-20 revised to 10-12% from the earlier estimate of 15%.India Ratings GDP growth forecast- 6.7% for FY20
