2.Madhya Pradesh govt has unveiled a scheme named ‘Yuva Swabhiman Yojana’ to ensure 100 days of employment every year to the youths from the economically weaker sections in the urban areas. 1.State Bank of India raised $1.25 billion through bonds from overseas market. Bonds were listed at India International Exchange IFSC Ltd, a subsidiary of BSE, at Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) IFSC.State Bank of India, CFO- Prashant Kumar.

2.The Reserve Bank has approved the appointment of V Vaidyanathan as MD and CEO of IDFC First Bank for a period of three years . Prior to this, he was the founder and chairman of Capital First.IDFC Bank and NBFC Capital First merged to IDFC First bank.

4.The government has approved setting up of three new naval air squadrons in Gujarat and Tamil Nadu as part of efforts to bolster the Indian Navy's overall strength. 5.A water-repelling, biodegradable material inspired by lotus leaves has been developed by a joint team of researchers from India, Switzerland and Italy. A technique called soft lithography was used to create micro-pillars of cellulose.Dr. Athanasios Milionis was the lead researcher of the study.

6.India and Uzbekistan signed a deal for long-term supply of uranium from the resource rich Central Asian country to power its domestic atomic reactors. After Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan will become the 2nd Central Asian country to supply uranium to India.Uzbekistan is the 7th largest exporter of uranium in the world.

7.Acc. to Engg. major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) market regulator SEBI has denied permission for its Rs 9,000 crore share buyback offer. L&T proposed to buy back up to 6.1 crore shares from shareholders at a price of Rs 1,475 per equity share.SEBI Chairman-Ajay Tyagi.
