1.Indian wrestler Bajrang Punia opened India's medal tally at the Asian Wrestling Championships with a gold medal in the 65 kg freestyle category. Praveen Rana settled for silver and Satyavart Kadian won bronze in 97 kg category.Bajrang is the world number one in his weight category.
2.The Reserve Bank announced a ₹25,000-crore liquidity injection through OMOs in May that will be undertaken in two equal tranches. RBI repurchased bonds of over ₹2.8 lakh crore during the last fiscal year.OMO- Open Market Operation.

10.Mountaineer Rama Sengupta Paul who led the first successful-women expedition to Kedarnath Dome in Garhwal Himalaya passed away following a cardiac arrest. She was 66 years old.
