1.Minister of State in PMO Jitendra Singh while participating in Jan Aushadhi Diwas celebration in Kathua revealed that Govt plans to have at least 1 Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) Kendra in each block of the country by end of 2020.Jan Aushadhi Diwas observed to create awareness for Generic meds.

2.42-year old former India opener Wasim Jaffer announced his retirement from all forms of cricket in Mumbai. He’s the only batsman to score 12,000 runs in Ranji Trophy and he also has the highest number of first-class hundreds to his name.

3.Central Board of Direct Taxes has named 3 members Seema Patra, PK Dash and Prabhash Shankar as ‘nodal officers’ to work with various ministries & ensure that central and state public-sector undertakings come on board Vivad se Vishwas tax amnesty scheme.CBDT functions under the Central Board of Revenue Act, 1963.

4.Ranchi University launched its own Community Radio Station RADIO KHANCHI 90.4 FM Aap Sabka Radio on International Women's Day, inaugurated by Governor cum Chancellor Draupadi Murmu. 1st Univ in the East Zone to be gifted with a CRS by Ministry of I&B.Union I&B Minister: Prakash Javadekar.

5.Khadi & Village Industry Commission in consultations with the Hill Council has adopted 4 villages in newly carved Ladakh Union Territory for rural employment generation. Likir is the only supplier to fulfil the demand of pottery, in entire old Ladakh.Likir was adopted by KVIC in 2018.

6.The resolution plan of RCom, RTL & Reliance Infratel have been filed with the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT). Reliance Comm Ltd is under corporate insolvency resolution process pursuant to the provisions of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016.It’s the highest-ever recovery of dues in Telecom sector.

7.Union WCD Minister Mrs Smriti Irani inaugurated a National Conference on Women in Police & CAPFs organized by the Bureau of Police Research and Development, the BPR&D and released a hand-out BPR&D Mirror – Gender Bender as well.Minister of State WCD Ministry: Debasree Chaudhuri.

8.SBI said it will be issued 245-crore shares at a price of ₹10 each for ₹2,450 crore in Yes Bank, translating into a 49% stake & the new board of Yes Bank to have a CEO & MD, non-executive chairman & non-executive directors.RBI’s draft plan puts authorized capital of bank at ₹5,000 crore.

9.Telangana State government has decided to rechristen the Rythu Samanvaya Samitis (farmers’ coordination committees), constituted to organize farmers into a united and strong force as Rythu Bandhu Samitis.Telangana Governor: T Soundararajan.

10.International Cricket Council launched a 12-month campaign dedicated to the promotion of women’s cricket titled "100% Cricket" to showcase the skill, athletic brilliance, passion & intensity of the players.ICC Women's T20 World Cup venue: Australia.

11.International Women's Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The theme of International Women’s Day 2020 is, I am Generation Equality: Realizing Women’s Rights.International Women's Day 2020 campaign theme is #EachforEqual.

12.AAI pulled out its team from the upcoming Asia Cup world ranking tournament in Bangkok owing to the coronavirus threat. India's 1st international competition since its return from a 5-month suspension in January, which was lifted after the AAI's election.Tournament was scheduled from March 8 to 15.

13.4th International Diabetes Summit- 2020 organized by Chellaram Diabetes Institute will be held from March 6-8, 2020 in Pune. In these 3 days, over 2000 delegates are expected to attend the summit. It will help to throw new light on diabetes management.CDI is known for its loyalty towards the fight against Diabetes.

14.University of Agricultural and Horticultural Sciences (UAHS), Shivamogga developed Sahyadri Megha, a new red variety of paddy, as a part of its initiative to prevent a decline in the area under paddy cultivation. New Paddy is resistant to blast disease.Sahyadri Megha is rich in nutrients.

15.The BCCI has decided to halve the prize money for this year’s IPL champions and the runners-up as part of its cost-cutting measures for the upcoming edition. Instead of a whopping Rs 20 crores, the IPL champion team will now receive Rs 10 crores only.Runners-up will get ₹6.25 crore from earlier ₹12.5 crore.

16.In a new Gender Social Norms Index (GSNI) released by the UNDP, close to 90% of men & women hold some sort of bias against women. The index measures how social beliefs obstruct gender equality in politics, work & education in 80% of the world’s population.Over 40% people feel that men make better business executives.
