1.DRDO's High Energy Materials Research Laboratory signed contract with Rosoboronexport for development of Advanced Pyrotechnic Ignition Systems during the DefExpo. It will enable advancement in the field of energetic materials and pyrotechnic technology.Rosoboronexport is a Russian company.

2.I-T Department launched an e-calculator for individuals to estimate their tax liability if they opt for the new tax slabs, without claiming deductions & exemptions, for ITR filing as stated in the Budget. 5% tax is levied on an annual income of 2.5-5 lakh.Tax rises to 10%, 15%, 20% & 25% for every Rs 2.5 lakh addition.

3.Ram Nath Kovind conferred the International Gandhi Awards for Leprosy to Dr NS Dharmashaktu in the individual & the Leprosy Mission Trust under the institutional category for working to fight against leprosy & eliminate the prejudices associated with it.Leprosy is also called: Hansen's disease.

5.During his first visit to Assam following the signing of tripartite Bodo Peace Accord 2020, PM announced 1500 Cr package for Bodo areas of the state. Bodo Peace Accord 2020 was signed between All Bodo Students Union (ABSU), NDFB & the Assam Government.NDFB-National Democratic Front of Bodoland.

6.Prince Charles unveiled a new children's protection fund for India as part of British Asian Trust-charity founded by him in 2007 to fight poverty in South Asia. It will be focussed on reducing the exploitation of children by 50% in India over 10 years.American singer Katy Perry is the ambassador of the new fund.

7.India’s plans to develop a future fighter jet engine has got strong backing from the UK saying that, UK is ready to collaborate on the project & is looking at a govt to govt model to take it forward. UK has great experience in developing jet engines.French engine manufacturer Safran was also ready for the plans.

9.Ministry of Commerce and Industry is conducting the 22nd edition of India International Seafood Show 2020 in Kochi from 7-9 February 2020. India has set seafood export target at $10 billion by 2020. IISS is being held in Kochi after a gap of 12 years.India exported 14,37,000 tonnes of marine products in 2018-19.

10.According to RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das ,the central bank has no plans to monetise the rising fiscal deficit. This is the third consecutive year that the government has revised its fiscal deficit target.The budget has pegged fiscal deficit at 3.8 %.RBI Headquarters location: Mumbai.

11.The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has issued guidelines for benchmarking the performance of alternative investment funds (AIFs) with a view to streamlining disclosure standards and helping investors in assessing scheme performance.SEBI Chairman Ajay Tyagi.
