1.India extended a line of credit of USD 75 mn. to Cuba for financing solar parks. As per the agreement, financing of export of eligible goods & services from India would be allowed subject to their being eligible for export under the Foreign Trade Policy.Cuba is also known as the Sugar Bowl of the world.

2.Indian foreign ministry has announced the setting up of a new division on New and Emerging Strategic Technologies (NEST). It will help assess foreign policy and international legal implications of emerging technology and technology-based resources.Foreign minister- S Jaishankar.


3.Walmart India has elevated Sameer Aggarwal to the role of deputy chief executive officer, he would take over in the coming months the reins of Walmart’s flagship wholesale retail unit in the country from current CEO Krish Iyer.Carl Douglas McMillon, president and CEO of Walmart Inc.


4.Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) and Wipro 3D, the metal additive manufacturing business of Wipro Infrastructure Engineering, have signed a MoU to design, develop, test, manufacture, and repair of aerospace components using metal additive technology.R. 5.One of the Iranian regime's most powerful figures Qasem Soleimani has been killed in a U.S. airstrike near Baghdad's international airport. He was often referred to as Iran's second most powerful person, behind Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.The current President of Iran is Hassan Rouhani.


6.Digital payments player PayPal has unveiled a new adoption assistance programme aimed at enhancing the parental support benefits for employees. It will offer financial support of upto Rs one lakh per adoption for adoptive parents.Daniel H. Schulman , president and CEO of PayPal.


7.Acc. to UM Prakash Javadekar, govt. has given sanction for setting up 2,636 charging stations in 62 cities across 24 states & UTs under the FAME India scheme which will encourage original equipment manufacturers to launch new electric vehicle models.FAME, Faster Adoption & Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles.

9.The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has announced a standard product with all the basic understandable features. This product is named ‘Arogya Sanjeevani Yojana’, followed by the name of the insurer.This product is available to all from April 01, 2020.

10.SEBI has tightened the noose around the corporates, saying if companies are not cooperating with credit rating agencies (CRAs) on disclosure of loan defaults, then the latter should issue INC (Issuer not cooperating) ratings.Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).

11.National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog & Indian Railways have come out with a discussion paper for running 150 trains on 100 routes by private operators, envisaging an investment of ₹22,500 crore.NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant
