1.PM Modi inaugurated the 107th Indian Science Congress in Bengaluru. The theme for the congress this year is ‘science and technology: rural development’. 3.Railways has integrated its helpline numbers into a single number 139- available in 12 languages, for quick grievance redressal & enquiries by passengers during their train journeys which will take over all the existing helpline numbers.It is based on Interactive Voice Response System.
4.PM Modi dedicated to the nation 5 Young Scientists Laboratories of DRDO in Bengaluru. Other 4 locations are Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata & Hyderabad. 5.Odisha has bagged Krishi Karman Award from the Centre for its overall food grain production in 2016-17. Manipur got the best-performing state in Overall Food-grain Production Category-III (production < 1 mn tonne) for the year 2017-18.Chhattisgarh received the award for Category-2 for 2016-17.
6.Assam State Zoo & NGO-Aaranyak were successfully able to hatch a pair of Greater Adjutant Stork (Hargila) chicks on an artificial platform within the Zoo enclosure. This species is currently on the brink of extinction due to habitat loss.Greater Adjutant stork is the rarest of 20 species of Storks.
7.Lai Haraoba, a ritualistic festival observed by Manipuri Meitei communities. The 5 day long festival was inaugurated by Speaker of state legislative Assembly, Rebati Mohan Das with an aims to uphold tradition, cultural values of Meiteis.It is celebrated through oral literature, music, dance & rituals.

9.Unified Payments Interface registered over Rs. 1.31 bn transactions with the total value crossing Rs. 2 trillion in Dec 2019, almost a 7% growth, as per NPCI data. UPI has majorly been dominated by private players such as PhonePe, Google Pay & Paytm.BHIM UPI QR-based payments was launched in Singapore (Nov 2019).
10.Small industrial Development Bank of India (SIDBI) is a development financial institution in India, headquartered at Lucknow and having its offices all over the country. Its purpose is to provide refinance facilities and short term lending to industries, and serves as the principal financial institution in the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector.
SIDBI also coordinates the functions of institutions engaged in similar activities. It was established on April 2, 1990, through an Act of Parliament. It is headquartered in Lucknow.SIDBI operates under the Department of Financial Services, Government of India.
