1.The Commonwealth Games Federation announced that women's T20 Cricket has been confirmed for inclusion at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games in 2022. 8 teams will compete across 8match days. 2022 Commonwealth Games will take place in England.

2.ISRO successfully carried out a crucial process to manoeuvre India's second lunar probe out of the earth's orbit.
The space agency said as planned it carried out the manoeuvre called Trans Lunar Insertion (TLI).It is expected to reach the moon's orbit on August 20.
3.MoHUA launched the 5th edition of Swachh Survekshan 2020, which will be conducted in Jan 2020. Water PLUS Protocol was launched to provide a guideline for cities &towns to ensure that no untreated wastewater is released into the environment.Hardeep Singh Puri - MoS for Housing and Urban Affairs.
4.As per the data released by the Central Statistics Office, Retail inflation eased marginally in July to 3.15% over the previous month despite costlier food items. The retail inflation based on Consumer Price Index was 3.18% in June & 4.17% in July 2018.Govt has asked RBI to keep inflation in the range of 4%.
5.RBI has increased the bank credit to NBFCs for on-lending to agriculture, MSEs & HFCs under priority sector lending up to a limit of 5% of bank’s total PSL on an ongoing basis. The limit for (term lending) Agriculture - ₹10 L, MSE - ₹20 L, HFCs - ₹20 L.Loans disbursed under the on-lending model is classified as PSL.
6.Aditya Birla Health Insurance has entered into a bancassurance partnership with Axis Bank. Through this partnership, ABHI will offer health insurance solutions to the Axis bank’s customers across its 4,094 branches and digital channels.Amitabh Chaudhry is the MD and CEO of Axis Bank.
7.India has contributed $1 mn to the UN Special Purpose Trust Fund for the Resident Coordinator System. The SPTF established to receive, consolidate, manage & account for all financial transactions of the new Resident Coordinator system in an effective way.UN Sec Gen.: António Guterres.

10.India & Russia have called for diversifying & deepening of economic ties in priority sectors to meet the bilateral trade target of $30 bn by 2025.
