1.VP Naidu launched the Jharkhand’s 'Mukhya Mantri Krishi Ashirwad Yojana' to transfer money into the bank accounts of farmers. Under the scheme, beneficiaries having farmland of less than 1 acre to 5 acres, will get ₹ 5000 - 25000 in their bank accounts.The Centre targets to double the income of farmers by 2022.

2.Bajrang Punia has won the gold medal at Tbilisi Grand Prix. He, who had won a gold at the same event last year as well, prevailed 2-0 over Iran's Peiman Bibyani in the 65 Kg category final of the men's free style competition in the capital city of Georgia.Vinesh Phogat reached her fourth final at Medved event.

3.Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ and Union Minister for Jal Shakti Gajendra Singh Shekhawat launched ‘Samagra Shiksha-Jal Suraksha’ to promote water conservation activities among school students.‘How I am going to save 1 lt water every day?’ was also launched.

4.The 3rd International Electric Vehicle Conclave at the International Centre for Automotive Technology in Manesar, Gurugram. The Conclave was held to create a knowledge-sharing platform to ensure flow of information at all levels in the automotive sector.MoS for Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises -Arjun Ram Meghwal.

5.India and Bangladesh have agreed to set up a Joint Technical committee for optimum utilization of Ganges water. Both the countries also agreed to prepare a framework for interim water-sharing agreement for 8 rivers including Feni, Gumti &Teesta.Abdul Hamid – President of Bangladesh.

6.Haryana announced the roll-out of ‘Mukhya Mantri Parivar Samridhi Yojana’ to provide social securities to families. Under the scheme, ₹ 6000 per year will be given to each eligible family. Eligibility - Families having an annual income less than ₹ 180000.Each beneficiary family will be entitled to get ₹ 500 per month.

7.Indian Oil, BPCL & HPCL launched a programme to procure biodiesel made from used cooking oil in 100 cities across the country. Also, Dharmendra Pradhan has launched Repurpose Used Cooking Oil sticker & a mobile app for collection of Used Cooking Oil.World Biofuel Day – August 10.

8.Manipur has topped in Breastfeeding, Infant & Young Child Feeding Practices. The report has been developed based on 3 indicators namely early initiation of breastfeeding, exclusive breastfeeding for 6 Mon & complimentary feeding at 6-8 Month of child's age.UP, Rajasthan & Bihar are at the bottom positions in the report.

9.CAIT has partnered with HDFC Bank, Mastercard, Common Service Centres of Meity & Global Linkers to launch an initiative ‘Digi Vyapari-Safal Vyapari’ to accelerate acceptance of digital payments among merchants across the country.CAIT Secretary General - Praveen Khandelwal.

10.Noted freedom fighter Dayanidhi Nayak, who struggled against the British Government during the Quit India movement, has died. He was 95. He was the youngest freedom fighter from Panimora. He was jailed for 9 months during Quit India Movement.He was one of the 32 freedom fighters from Panimora.
