1.The Unique Identification Authority of India has set up its first ‘Aadhaar Seva Kendra’ in Delhi and Vijayawada. Also, it plans to set up 114 such centres in 53 cities across India. The centres will facilitate enrolment, updating and other activities.CEO of UIDAI – Ajay Bhushan Pandey.
2.Reserve Bank of India has announced an additional liquidity facility to banks for purchase of assets from and on-lending to non-banking financial companies and housing finance companies. It will enable banks to avail additional liquidity of ₹ 134000 Cr.Statutory Liquidity Ratio – 18.75%.
3.PMAY-G aims to achieve the objective of Housing for All by 2020. The houses will be provided with amenities like toilets, electricity & LPG connections. PMGSY-III envisages to upgrade 125000 km of road length over the next 5 yrs, with a cost of ₹ 80250 Cr.Ujjwala yojana aims to provide clean cooking facility by 2022.
4.Public Sector Banks are provided Rs 70,000 crore capital to boost credit for a strong impetus to the economy. The government will provide one time six months' partial credit guarantee to Public Sector Banks for the first loss of up to 10%.FM has proposed 100% FDI for insurance intermediaries.
