1.Maharashtra achieved first rank in NITI Aayog launched Agricultural Marketing and Farmer Friendly Reforms Index followed by Rajasthan & Madhya Pradesh. The index ranks states based on the degree of reforms they have undertaken in agricultural marketing.The Index was launched in 2016.

2.Economic survey projects GDP to grow at 7% in 2019-20. The fiscal deficit has been pegged at 3.4% of GDP for 2018-19. The survey has provisionally estimated 2.9% growth rate for the agriculture, forestry and fishing sector.Indian economy is expected to grow at 6.8% in 2018-19.

3.ISRO has signed a contract with a Russian company Glavkosmos for selection support, medical examination & space training of Indian astronauts for the country’s proposed maiden manned space mission ‘Gaganyaan’.Isro plans to launch its first manned space mission in 2022.

4.Under Section 36 AB of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949, the Reserve Bank of India has appointed its former executive director AK Misra as Additional Director for a period of two years on the Board of troubled lender Jammu and Kashmir Bank.Tagline of Jammu & Kashmir Bank – Serving to Empower.

5.India's first highway corridors with charging stations for EV are expected to come up along the Delhi-Jaipur &Delhi-Agra highways by 2020. The stretch of the corridors on the highways will be 500 km & 18 charging stations will be set up near toll plazas.Govt expects 25% of the total vehicles will be EV by 2030.

6.B Harideesh Kumar has been appointed as director of Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) for a period of three years. Earlier, he was Executive Director of Canara Bank. He started his banking career with e Vijaya Bank in the year 1978.IBPS was established in the year 1975.

7.American economist David Lipton will serve as interim leader of the International Monetary Fund. He has replaced Christine Lagarde who was nominated to head the European Central Bank. Lipton is the first Deputy Managing Director of the organization.Chief Economist of IMF – Gita Gopinath.

8.Many states have achieved 100% open defecation free status and individual household latrine coverage since the launch of Swachh Bharat Mission. Around 99.2% of rural India has been covered in the last four years under SBM.It is aligned with 2030 global sustainable development agenda.

9.Indian sprinter Hima Das won the women's 200m gold in the Poznan Athletics Grand Prix in Poland. It was Hima's first competitive 200m race of the year. Also, Short putter Tajinder Pal Singh Toor bagged a bronze.Muhammed Anas was third in the men's 200-metre race.

10.Former Uttarakhand Governor Sudershan Agarwal died after a prolonged illness in New Delhi. He was 88. He had served as the second Governor of the hill state between 2003 and 2007. He had also been the Secretary General of the Rajya Sabha.Present Governor of Uttarakhand is Baby Rani Maurya.
