1.India’s mega defence exhibition ‘DefExpo’ will be held for the first time at Lucknow in 2020. The main theme of the event will be ‘India: The Emerging Defence Manufacturing Hub’ and it will focus on ‘Digital Transformation of Defence’.In 2018, DefExpo took place in Thiruvidanthai.

2.International Media have hailed India's successful launch of its 2nd moon mission Chandrayaan-2. It aims to become the 1st mission to conduct a surface landing on the lunar south pole region, where it will collect crucial info about the moon's composition.India wants to put Indian astronauts in space by 2022.

3.Two-time Olympic gold medallist Keshav Dutt & former India Football Captain Prasun Banerjee will be conferred the 'Mohun Bagan Ratna'. It will felicitate pacer Mohammed Shami and Ashok Chatterjee will be given the Lifetime Achievement award.July 29 is celebrated as the 'Mohun Bagan Day'.

4.IIT Madras have developed a ‘smart agricopter’ to eliminate manual spraying of pesticides in agricultural fields & help identify crop health by using an imaging camera. It will be allowing spraying pesticides 10 times faster with 100% precision.Smart Agricopter is a hexacopter drone with 15l of capacity.

5.According to the RBI data, Maharashtra topped in ATM frauds in 2018-19 with 233 cases. Delhi grabbed the second spot followed by Tamil Nadu. Assam, Arunachal Pradesh & Tripura were the only 3 states that didn’t report a single incident.No of incidents of ATM fraud increased from 911 to 980 in FY19.

6.John Isner of the United States has become the first player to win four titles in Newport. He defeated seventh-seeded Kazakh Alexander Bublik in the final. It was his first ATP tour title of the year.Isner’s first ATP Tour event was at Hall of Fame Open in 2007.

7.NPCI & JCB International, with domestic banks, have launched RuPay JCB Global Cards. Banks including SBI, PNB, Axis Bank, Union Bank, Central Bank of India, Andhra Bank, CUB & TJSB Bank will issue cards, which will be accepted at all POS terminals & ATMs.Praveena Rai - Chief Operating Officer of NPCI.

8.An Inter-Ministerial Committee has recommended a ban on the cryptocurrencies in India & imposing fines and penalties for carrying on any activities connected with it. The panel was constituted in Nov 2017 to study the issues related to virtual currencies.India’s 1st cryptocurrency ATM was launched in Bengaluru.

9.India topped the medal tally with 7 gold, 5 silver & 3 bronze medals at the 21st Commonwealth Championships, Cuttack. Harmeet Desai& Ayhika Mukherjee won the men's & women's singles titles. Anthony Amalraj & Manav Thakkar claimed the men's doubles gold.England won two silver and three bronze medals.

10.Former Japanese diplomat & International Atomic Energy Agency Chief Yukiya Amano died. He was 72. He was deeply involved in the negotiations that led to landmark Iran nuclear deal with world powers that restricted the country’s nuclear uranium enrichment.IAEA is headquartered in Vienna, Austria.
