1.Four-time Asian medallist Shiva Thapa became India's first gold-medallist in the new 63-kg category at the President's Cup boxing tournament in Astana, Kazakhstan. Sweety Boora (81kg) and Duryodhan Singh Negi (69kg) ended the tournament with a bronze.Thapa defeated Kazakhstan's Zakir Safiullin in the final clash.

2.Bengaluru has topped the list of ‘most digitised cities’ accounting for highest card payments in a study conducted by Razorpay. The top five digitised states as per the report are Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and New Delhi.Bengaluru placed No.1 followed by Hyderabad,Mumbai, Pune & Delhi.

3.Federation of International Football Federation has awarded FIFA Women Under 20 World Cup hosting right to Nigeria after 10 years in 2020. The last FIFA event held in Nigeria was the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup.The tournament is held in even-numbered years.

4.Confederation of Indian Industry has identified 31 items with high export potential to boost merchandise exports. CII has analyzed & identified select export items where India can become a leading exporter & offers recommendation for boosting such products.HQ of Confederation of Indian Industry - New Delhi.

5.Ravinder Kumar Malik has clinched the overall champion at 12th South Asian Bodybuilding & Physique Sports Championship in Kathmandu. He was the winner of 80 kg category & was adjudged best bodybuilder. Afghanistan won team championship with 535 points.India secured third place with 380 points.

6.Foreign Direct Investment inflow has increased to 64.38 bn USD in 2018-19, registering a growth of 79%. The intent is to make the FDI policy more investor-friendly & remove the policy bottlenecks that have been hindering investment inflow into the country.Piyush Goyal – Commerce and Industry Minister.

7.In Badminton, P V Sindhu was defeated by Akane Yamaguchi in the finals of Indonesia Open BWF Tour Super 1000 tournament in Jakarta. Taiwan’s shuttler Chou Tien-Chen won the men's singles title after defeating Denmark's Anders Antonsen.In women's doubles, Yuki Fukushima & Sayaka Hiro won the title.

8.A noted Carnatic vocalist, S Sowmya has won the Sangita Kalanidhi award. She is known for her intellectual approach to music. Seetha Narayanan & MS Sheela will get Sangita Kala Acharya awards. Nritya Kalanidhi award will be conferred on Priyadarsini Govind.Arati N Rao was selected for Musicologist award.

9.IFCI expects to mobilize ₹ 1500-2000 Cr from sale of non-core assets during the current FY to fund business growth. The company is looking at a recovery of bad loans under Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code. Currently, IFCI holds 2.4% stake in NSE & 4% in CCIL.CEO of IFCI - Emandi Sankara Rao.

10.Lok Janshakti Party Member of Parliament Ramchandra Paswan died due to cardiac arrest. He was a four-time MP and was first elected in 1999. He was re-elected to the Lok Sabha in 2004 and then again for the third time in 2014.He was elected from Bihar's Samastipur in May 2019.
