1.World number one Bajrang Punia won the gold medal as he defeated Viktor Rassadin in the finals of men's 65kg freestyle in the Ali Aliyev wrestling tournament in Kaspiisk, Russia.He also won a gold medal last week at the Asian Championships.

6.Iraq for the second year in a row, become India’s top crude oil supplier, meeting more than a fifth of the country’s oil needs in 2018-19 fiscal year according to data sourced from the Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence and Statistics.India has stopped importing crude oil from Iran from 1 May 2019.

8.To nab tax evaders and reduce black money generation, the income tax department Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) and Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) signed an agreement to facilitate the exchange of data between the two.Pramod Chandra Mody is the Chairman of the CBDT.
