1.Meena Kumari Maisnam claimed the gold medal in the 54 kg category at the Boxing World Cup at Cologne in Germany. She defeated Thailand's Machai Bunyanut in the Final. Sakshi in 57 kgs and Pwilao Basumatary in 64 kgs had to settle for Silver medals.

7.According to the data released by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, Retail inflation saw a marginal rise of 2.86% in Mar 2019 account of increase in prices of food articles & fuel. On a yearly basis, it was 4.28% in Mar 2018.Retail inflation is measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI).
