1.President Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated the World Hindi Secretariat building in Mauritius on his visit to the country.He also launched the World Hindi Secretariat’s logo, an Early Digital Learning Programme as well unveiled foundation stones of a social housing project and a large ENT hospital being built with Indian assistance.He will become the first Indian President to visit Madagascar.
2.The 9,600 sq.ft flag on a 110 m flag pole has been unfurled in Belagavi, Karnataka. Schoolchildren, NGO members, leaders and others gathered at the Kote Kere lake front to witness a unique celebration: the unfurling of what is claimed to be the country’s tallest national flag.

5.Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, will inaugurate the Delhi Energy Dialogue 2018, on March 14, organised by Ashden India Collective (AIC) in alliance with Climate Parliament.“Delhi Energy Dialogue” is an initiative to promote sustainable solutions for better lives.Established in 2010, AIC helps to increase access to energy for India’s rural poor.
6.Noted film and television actor Narendra Jha has passed away following a heart attack. He was 55. The actor best is known for his performances in films such as “Raees”, “Kaabil” and “Haider”.
7.Prominent British theoretical physicist Professor Stephen Hawking has passed away. The theoretical physicist is known for his groundbreaking work with black holes and relativity. In 1963, Professor Hawking contracted a motor neuron disease that gradually paralysed him over the decades. He was still able to communicate using a single cheek muscle attached to a speech-generating device.
8.Madikheda Dam is a Multi-purpose masonry cum earthen dam situated in Shivpuri district. The lake is known as Madikheda Reservoir across river Sindh and one of the tallest dam of Madhya Pradesh.
9.Actor Jackie Shroff’s short film “Shunyata” has won an award at Best of India Short Film Festival in Los Angeles, US.The 22-minute fiction film directed by Chintan Sarda was selected to be in top six from amongst thousands of entries and was played at a theatre in Los Angeles.
10.ICICI Bank has launched instant overdraft ‘InstaOD’ facility for MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) customers in a completely online and paperless manner.Customers can get overdraft facility up to Rs 15 lakh for a year anytime, anywhere using the bank’s Internet and mobile banking app.The overdraft is renewable on an annual basis depending on the repayment track records.
