1.The first ever of its kind in the country chat-based job search mobile app 'Empzilla' is being launched that will do away with existing limitations of employers and job seekers making selection process quick and cost-effective. The mobile app gets the conversation between employers and job seekers going in seconds and the latter can chat with the potential employers.

4.Air India will get a one-time grant of approximately ₹6 cr from Israel for launching direct flights between New Delhi and Tel Aviv.Tel Aviv is the second most populous city in Israel after Jerusalem.
5.The Reserve Bank of India today announced setting up ombudsman for addressing customer grievances in the non-banking finance companies. The rules will be laid out by the end of this month. RBI will start with deposit taking NBFCs and widen the scope to cover NBFCs with asset size of Rs 100 crore. "The scheme for banks is working well and is accepted as a preferred mode of customer grievance redressal by public at large, which is cost free and expeditious," RBI deputy governor B.P. Kanungo. "There was no scheme as such for non-banking finance companies. This will be introduced by end of this month."
6.The Union Ministry of Defence (MoD) constituted 13-member Raksha Mantri Advisory Committee on Ministry of Defence Capital Projects (RMCOMP). The committee will monitor and expedite capital acquisition projects for modernization of armed forces and bolster armed forces preparedness. It will undertake an independent review and check the status of ongoing critical projects worth more than Rs. 500 crore. It will suggest measures for improvement of the capital acquisition process. It will identify specific issues and bottlenecks that are responsible for delays, and suggest the way forward.
7.Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu on Tuesday laid the foundation stone of a rhododendron park in his hometown Tawang.He also carried out a plantation drive of different varieties of rhododendrons. Tawang is home to more than 50 different varieties of the species.
8.To expedite capital acquisitions in defence procurement, Defence Minister Sitharaman has constituted a 13-member Raksha Mantri Advisory Committee on Ministry of Defence Capital Projects.The committee will be chaired by Vinay Sheel Oberoi, who retired earlier this year as secretary for higher education in the human resource development ministry.
9.The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) approved to enhance target base of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) from 5 crore to 8 crores. The revised target of PMUY will be achieved by 2020 with an additional allocation of Rs. 4,800 crore. The decision comes in the wake of the huge response to PMUY from the women particularly in rural areas and to cover such households not having LPG connection. This move will address practical difficulty faced in implementation of MUY, namely, targeting genuinely poor households left out of Socio-Economic Cards.
10.India increased “substantially” its score in the International Intellectual Property (IP) Index, ranking 44th among 50 nations, according to the US Chambers of Commerce report. Last year, India ranked 43rd out of 45 countries in the Index. The top 3 countries in the list are- The USA. The United Kingdom. Sweden. India’s overall score has increased substantially from 25% in the 5th edition of the Index to 30% in the 6th edition, according to the annual report prepared by the Global Innovation Policy Centre (GIPC) of the US Chambers of Commerce.
