1.India secured access to key strategic Port of Duqm in Oman in the Arabian sea for military use and logistical support. This was one of the key takeaway Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Oman. During this visit, Annexure to Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Military Cooperation.
2.Udanti Sanctuary was established in 1983 after the Wildlife Protection Act of 1972 was passed. The sanctuary is a major tourist attraction of Raipur in Chhattisgarh.
3.A ‘gender park’ open exclusively to women and children will be set up in Kerala’s Kottayam. While skill development courses and self-employment training facilities will be offered to women visiting the park, rehabilitation centres for sexual abuse victims will be set up in its premises.
4.Meghalaya Governor Ganga Prasad inaugurated the “Friendship Gate” constructed with an aim to have a Wagah-like beating retreat ceremony for the Indian and Bangladesh border guards.The Friendship Gate has been constructed near Integrated Check post, 90 km South of capital Shillong on border with Bangladesh.

6.Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) bagged an order worth Rs 560 crore from NTPC for setting up a system for emission control. BHEL has secured the order for "supply and installation of the flue gas desulphurisation (FGD) system from NTPC for 2x490 MW National Capital Power Station at Dadri in Uttar Pradesh.

8.In an effort to put India firmly among the top nations in the world theatre map, the country will play host to the 8th Theatre Olympics, the greatest carnival of the pianist. The 51-day theatre extravaganza which will be inaugurated at Red Fort will see 450 shows including 65 shows by international artists, 600 ambient performances, and 250 youth forum shows.
9.South Africa's embattled President Jacob Zuma. He announced the decision in a televised address to the nation after the ruling African National Congress (ANC) party threatened to eject him from office via a parliamentary vote of no confidence. The 75-year-old, who was the country's President for the last 9 years, has been under increasing pressure to give way to Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa, ANC's new leader. Mr. Zuma's resignation followed weeks of intense public pressure to step down amid long-standing corruption allegations.
10.One of the first modern rice mills to come up in Kerala’s Palakkad district, Bhama Rice Mill of Vadavannur village, is being converted into a memorial for iconic Tamil politician and matinee idol M.G. Ramachandran.His childhood home is located in the same village.The memorial will also serve as a ‘village heritage centre’. It is named as the heritage centre MAGORA.
