1.Bollywood-themed posters shared by Railway Minister.Piyush Goyal has shared Bollywood themed posters on Twitter. The advisory on the poster read that boarding a moving train can be life-threatening with a caption “Na Simran Na” showing a scene from movie Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge.Another poster advising people not to defecate on railway tracks is captioned with “Neele Gagan ke Tale”.

2.Ava Mukherjee, who played Shah Rukh Khan's grandmother in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Devdas', has reportedly passed away at the age of 88. 

3.China has built ‘world’s biggest air purifier’.China has constructed a 330 foot tall air purifier tower which is being tested by researchers, has produced more than 10 million cubic meters of clean air since launched.The air purification system works through greenhouses covering about half the size of a soccer field around the base of the tower.

4.India Ratings and Research projected the country’s economic growth to improve to 7.1 per cent 2018-19 and 6.5 per cent 2017-18, buoyed by robust consumption demand and low commodity prices.The agency said it expects fiscal deficit in 2017–18 to come in at 3.5 per cent, overshooting the budgeted estimate of 3.2 per cent. The agency expects fiscal deficit in 2018–19 to be at 3.2 per cent, higher than 3 per cent stated in the medium-term fiscal policy statement.

5.West Bengal, Kerala and Odisha have opted out of the Central Government’s Transformation of Aspirational Districts scheme.Aspirational districts refer to selected 115 backward districts that are lagging on specific development parameters.Central Government has undertaken a major policy initiative for rapid transformation of these districts.

6.Jammu and Kashmir government signed a MoU to create normalcy in Jammu & Kashmir by means of education reforms.The MoU is named, ‘School Education Transformation Roadmap’.
It was signed by Jammu & Kashmir’s Department of School Education and Union MHRD Prakash Javadekar.This MoU will facilitate nearly 9,000 Jammu & Kashmir students to take part in an exchange programme.

7.Brazilian World Cup winner Ronaldinho has formally confirmed his retirement from football, more than two years since his last appearance as a professional, reports in Brazil.
He is a key member of the Brazil side which won the World Cup in 2002.

8.ISRO launched its 100th satellite from Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh, along with the 30 other satellites.3 satellites were from India and the remaining 28 were foreign, including micro and nano-satellites from six countries.

9.Former Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit is coming out with her autobiography, "Citizen Delhi: My Times, My Life", publishers Bloomsbury India announced. The memoir which will be unveiled on January 27 at the 11th edition of the Jaipur Literature Festival.

10.Parambikulam Tiger Reserve, which also includes the erstwhile Parambikulam Wildlife Sanctuary, is a 391 square kilometres ( protected area in Chittur taluk in Palakkad district of Kerala state, South India.
