1.Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has selected Pramod Agarwal, a 1991 batch IAS from Madhya Pradesh cadre as the next chairman of Coal India. He will take over after the present chairman A K Jha retires in January 2020.Its first chairman was Lieutenant General K S Garewal.

2.The Bimal Jalan panel of the Reserve Bank has recommended that the revised economic capital framework will be reviewed every five years. The RBI, Under the revised framework, decided to transfer 52,637 crore rupees excess provisions to the government.Reserve Bank of India (RBI) was established on April 1, 1935.

6.Delhi and District Cricket Association decided to rename Delhi's iconic Feroz Shah Kotla, the second-oldest cricket stadium in India, as Arun Jaitley Stadium in tribute to the former Union finance minister who passed away recently.Jaitley, was president of the DDCA from 1999 to 2013.

7.United States approved the USD 3.3 billion sale of anti-ballistic missiles to Japan.Japan will buy up to 73 of the Raytheon-made SM-3 Block IIA missiles, which are designed to be fired by the ship-board Aegis system to intercept incoming ballistic missile.Shinzo Abe current Prime Minister of Japan.

10.Kanchan Chaudhary Bhattacharya, the country’s first woman Director General of Police (DGP) passed away. She was 72. Born in Himachal Pradesh, Chaudhary was the country’s second woman IPS officer after Kiran Bedi.
