1.The ADB will provide Rs 1,650 crore, out of which 80% will be grant-in-aid & the state will have to repay 20% loan. The ADB has approved a project worth Rs 1,650 crore to develop infrastructure in 7 district headquarter towns of Tripura.Headquarters of ADB: Manila, Phillippines.

2.Ravinder Singh Dhillon has taken over as the Director (Projects) in Power Finance Corporation. Dhillon has more than 34 years of experience in various areas of the power sector. He is an Electrical Engineer with PG in Power Systems from IIT-Delhi.He was serving as an Executive Director in PFC.

3.Indiabulls Housing Finance Ltd has appointed a CRO and complied with norms of National Housing Bank (NHB), the housing finance sector regulator.Naveen Uppal, has been appointed as Chief Risk Officer (CRO) of the company, for a period of three years.Chairman of IndiaBulls:Sameer Gehlaut.

4.Assam Transport Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary launched the State Transport Corporation's Chalo app for Guwahati. The app will help commuters to know about the live arrival time of their bus so they can plan their travel accordingly.Assam Chief Minister:Sarbananda Sonowal.

5.29 journalists from print & electronic media were felicitated with Matri Shree Media Awards for contributing to journalism.A social activist was also presented the Bharat Mata shield at the 44th Matri Shree media award ceremony.The first award was presented to journalist Lala Jagat Narayan.

6.India, projected to surpass China as the world's most populous country around 2027, is expected to add nearly 273 million people between now and 2050.It was published by UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs.Report-‘The World Population Prospects 2019: Highlights'.

7.New business premiums for life insurance companies grew 43.43% to Rs 18,414.02 cr in May, with state-run LIC growing at a faster pace than private insurers, showed data from IRDAI.IRDAI: Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India.

8.Joshna Chinappa won a record 17th national squash title after outplaying Tamil Nadu's Sunayna Kuruvilla in the final.Chinappa won the match 11-5, 11-4, 7-11, 11-5 and thus broke a 27-year-old record set by Bhuvneshwari Kumari, who had won 16 titles.Joshna is a 2 time Asian Games & Commonwealth Games medallist.

9.The J&K Bank will come under the purview of Right to Information Act and Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) guidelines. The decision comes days after Parvez Ahmed was removed as the Chairman of the J&K Bank for alleged corruption, nepotism and favouritism.J&K Capital:Srinagar(Summer), Jammu(Winter).

10.The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas is looking to review the existing structure of LPG marketing in India, to bring in more private players.For this,the Centre has set up a 5-member committee headed by economist Kirit Parikh.LPG is a flammable mixture of hydrocarbon gases.
