1.India's Abhishek Verma won gold in the 10m air pistol event after shooting a score of 242.7 in the final at the Beijing World Cup assuring India of a second berth in the event at next year's Tokyo Olympics.Manu Bhaker & Saurabh Chaudhary won 10m air pistol mixed event.

2.US government has retained India on the “priority watch list" for its alleged poor enforcement of intellectual property (IP) regulations. Report claimed China & India were the leading sources of counterfeit medicines distributed globally.IP (India) overseen by office of CGPTDM, Govt. of India.

3.Axis Bank recently announced its plans to raise ₹35,000 crore debt instrument, including in foreign currency, to fund business growth. Gross NPA was reported to be declined to 5.26% in the March quarter of 2018-19, from 6.77% in the year-ago period.Axis Bank was founded in 1993 at Ahmedabad.

4.NASA's robotic Mars InSight lander recently recorded a likely mars quake for the first time ever. According to NASA, it is the first recorded trembling that appears to have come from inside the planet.NASA launched InSight mission in 2018 to study Mars.

5.BCCI recently recommended cricketers Mohammad Shami, Jasprit Bumrah, Ravindra Jadeja and Poonam Yadav for the Arjuna award as announced by Committee of Administrators in New Delhi.Justice D.K. Jain is the first ombudsman for BCCI.

6.India Pavilion at the 29th Abu Dhabi International Book Fair was inaugurated by Dy PM of United Arab Emirates, Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahayan. It lays special focus on the life and philosophy of Gandhiji displaying the 100 vol. series of Gandhi.UAE capital: Abu Dhabi; Currency: Dirham.

7.US-India Strategic and Partnership Forum's (USISPF) recently announced that about 200 companies are in talks of how to set up an alternative to China by investing in India which would accelerate the reforms bringing transparency in decision-making process.USISPF was established in 2017.

8.Cyclonic storm ‘Fani’ is likely to hit Coastal Andhra Pradesh by April 30 as it intensified into a severe storm and trigger thunderstorms, gusty winds and moderate rains in coastal districts and some parts of Rayalaseema.India Meteorological Department is under Min of Earth Sciences.

10.Mark Medoff, whose acclaimed play “Children of a Lesser God,” which won the Tony Award for best play in 1980 and was turned into a 1986 movie that won an Oscar for its female lead, Marlee Matlin, recently passed away at the age of 79.Tony Award is given in recognition of excellence in live theatre
