1.Branches of Vijaya Bank and Dena Bank will function as Bank of Baroda outlets from April 1, following the amalgamation of the two lenders with the latter making Bank of Baroda the 3rd largest lender after SBI & HDFC Bank.Govt. infused Rs 5,042 cr in BoB to enhance the capital base of BOB.
2.Home Ministry announced that the next census of India will be carried out in 2021 with March 1 of that year as the reference date. For J&K & snow bound non-synchronous areas of Himachal Pradesh & Uttarakhand, the reference date shall be the 1 October 2020.India's last census was carried out in 2011.

4.Bolivian’s President Evo Morales conferred the highest State Honour of Bolivia – ‘Condor de los Andes en el Grado de Gran Collar’ on India’s President Ram Nath Kovind Kovind. The President dedicated the award to the friendship between India and Bolivia.Bolivia joined the International Solar Alliance.
5.Alice G. Vaidyan, Chairman and Managing Director, General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC) received 'CEO of the Year' award at the inaugural edition of ETPrime Women Leadership Awards (ETPWLA) in Mumbai.Vaidyan is 1st lady CMD in public-sector insurance (non-life).
6.The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) launched Defence Research and Development Organisation's (DRDO) defence intelligence satellite EMISAT along with 28 foreign satellites aboard PSLV-C45.ISRO launched satellites in 3 different orbits for the 1st time.
7.The Central Board Direct Taxes (CBDT) extended the last date for intimating the Aadhaar number and linking it with Permanent Account Number (PAN) by six months to 30 September 2019.The last date for linking PAN with Aadhaar was 31 March.
8.Election Commission has approved a request of the Rural Development Ministry to revise the wages under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) scheme from 1 April.MGNREGA guarantees 100 days of minimum work in a financial year.
9.ISRO opened the first Launch Viewing Gallery with 5,000 capacity at Andhra Pradesh's Sriharikota island for the visitors. The gallery has a clear line of sight to 2 launch pads and large screens to explain launcher and satellite features.The inauguration was done by ISRO chairman Kailasavadivoo Sivan.
10.Roger Federer of Switzerland defeated John Isner to grab his 101st career title at the Miami Open 2019. Ashley Barty of USA won the Women Singles Title by defeating Karolina Pliskova in the final.Only Jimmy Connors has more singles titles (109) than Federer.
