1.Jamshetji Nusserwanji Tata was the founder of what later became the Tata Group of companies. He Founded India’s 1st modern steel plant at Jamshedpur and also played a key role in the setting up of IISC Bengaluru, which is an institution of pride in India.Tata Group is one of India’s largest conglomerate.

2.As per Moody’s report, Indian economy is expected to grow at 7.3 per cent in calendar year 2019 and 2020. In 2018-19 fiscal Indian economy is estimated to have grown 7%, lower than 7.2% in 2017-18.India’s GDP growth was at 6.6% in the 3rd quarter.

3.Chief Electoral Officer Gopal Krishna Dwivedi declared the state of Andhra Pradesh as expenditure-sensitive State for the sake of monitoring money flow in the coming general elections. 4.SpaceX’s Falcon 9 rocket carried the Crew Dragon spacecraft off the NASA's Kennedy Space Centre in Florida. Flight is intended to show the transport capabilities of SpaceX for International Space Station flights in future for humans.SpaceX Founder & CEO: Elon Musk.

5.At the Dan Kolov-Nikol Petrov tournament in Bulgaria, Bajrang Punia won gold in 65kg category & Pooja Dhanda claimed gold in the 59 kg one. Sakshi Malik & Sandeep Tomar won a silver medal in the 65kg and 61 kg category respectively.Sakshi Malik won bronze in Rio Olympics 2016.

6.7th RCEP Intersessional Ministerial Meeting recently concluded in Cambodia which saw participation of 16 Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership nations, including India’s Suresh Prabhu.Minister of Commerce & Industry: Suresh Prabhu.

7.Roger Federer won the Dubai Championships final beating Stefanos Tsitsipas to make a century of his career’s titles. He is a 20-time Grand Slam champion and it was his 8th Dubai title. He has a record of winning at least 1 title every season.Only other player to reach such milestone: Jimmy Connors.

8.Indo-Russia Rifles Private Limited, a joint venture between India’s Ordnance Factory & a Russian firm in Amethi will produce latest series of the iconic Kalashnikov rifles. More than 7.5 lakh units of the rifle to be manufactured at the factory.Most famous Kalashnikov product: AK-47.

9.Doordarshan launched Rock The Night to be aired on DD National, envisioned to act as a platform for indie rock bands from across the nation from Mizoram to Mumbai and from Arunachal to Bangalore to showcase their talent.Prasar Bharati (comprising AIR/DD) is statutory autonomous body.

10.Zhores Alferov was a Russian physicist who won the Nobel Prize in Physics together with US scientists Jack Kilby and Herbert Kroemer for developing semiconductor heterostructures used in high-speed-end opto-electronics.5 Nobel prizes were established in 1895
