1.RBI has decided to transfer an interim surplus of Rs 28,000 crore to the central government for the half-year ended 31st Dec 2018. The decision has been based on a limited audit review and after applying the extant economic capital frameworkRBI uses OMO to inject liquidity in Banking system.

2.Home minister Rajnath Singh would launch Emergency Response Support System (ERSS) in 16 states and Union territories for women safety from New Delhi.
