1.light Lieutenant Hina Jaiswal scripted history by becoming the first woman flight engineer to be inducted into the Indian Air Force. Till last year, the Flight Engineer branch was exclusively the men's domain.A Flight Engineer is the member of an aircraft's flight crew.

2.PETA’s Film and Television Division handed out its second annual “Oscat” awards, promoting good behaviour toward animals on screen and on set. Bradley Cooper earned the Best Director prize.PETA-People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.

8.The Union government has hiked the basic customs duty on all goods imported from Pakistan to 200 percent with immediate effect. This comes after India revoked the 'Most Favoured Nation' (MFN) status to Pakistan.The MFN applied rate is 32.8% for farm products.
