1.HDFC Bank Ltd, the country's second-biggest lender by assets, said  it would raise up to Rs. 24,000 crore($3.75 billion) to fund growth by selling shares to investors, including a preferential issue to its parent HDFC Ltd.

3.The eight edition of India, Maldives bilateral military exercise EKUVERIN 2017 was held in India in Belagavi, Karnataka. The aim of the exercise was to conduct military training between armies of both countries with emphasis on counter insurgency, counter terrorism operations (CICT Ops)

4.World Telugu Conference was held in Hyderabad.The five-day event is being conducted by the Telangana government for the first time since its bifurcation from Andhra Pradesh in 2014 to celebrate Telugu language, literature and culture after it was accorded the classical language status last year.

5.President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, laid the foundation stone of the Nyaya Gram project of the High Court of Allahabad on Saturday.

6.AU Small Finance Bank has recently received Reserved Bank of India (RBI) approval to operate as Scheduled Commercial Bank.

7.Natalie Portman has been recently awarded the "the Jewish Nobel Prize" in recognition of the commitment to social causes and deep connection to her Jewish and Israeli roots

8.Eminent Bengali poet Joy Goswami will be given the 31st Moortidevi Award for the year 2017. The committee, headed by poet and scholar Satya Vrat Shastri, unanimously decided to confer the award upon Goswami for his poetry collection titled Du Dondo Phowara Matro.

9.Bharti Airtel Ltd has entered into a definitive agreement with Millicom International Cellular S.A., under which Airtel Rwanda Ltd will acquire 100% equity in Tigo Rwanda Ltd.
10.National Green Tribunal (NGT) Chairperson Justice Swatanter Kumar retired from the post after completing his five-year tenure. His successor is yet to be appointed.
