1.The government has appointed MTNL Chairman and Managing Director P.K. Purwar as the CMD of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd for a period of three months. He is expected to follow the directions by the Department of Telecom.‘Wings’ service was launched by BSNL.

2.GoI, Kerala govt & World Bank signed a loan agreement of $250 million for the First Resilient Kerala Programme to enhance the state’s resilience against the impact of natural disasters and climate change.Kerala has targeted one million e-vehicles by 2022.

3.Ravi Shankar Prasad has launched the commemoration of 4 years of Digital India initiative in New Delhi. The project aims to connect all gram panchayats by broadband connectivity under BharatNet Project to promote e-governance.Ravi Shankar Prasad-Min of Electronics & Information Technology.

4.One Nation One Ration Card’ scheme will allow portability of food security benefits, will be available across the country from July 1, 2020. It means poor migrant workers will be able to buy subsidized rice and wheat from any ration shop in the country.77% % of the ration shops across the country have PoS machines.

5.Jal Shakti Abhiyan has been launched across the country to accelerate water harvesting & conservation measures. It is aimed at making water conservation & promotion of irrigation efficiency a mass movement via asset creation & communication campaigns.The scheme will be launched in New Delhi.

6.In Squash, India’s Veer Chotrani beat Yash Fadte to win the Under-19 title at the Asian Junior Championship in Macau, China. He became the third Indian to win the Asian trophy after Ravi Dixit and Vela Senthilkumar.Neel Joshi won a silver medal in the boy's Under-17 category.

7.Bank of Baroda has entered into a transaction with Dewan Housing Finance Corp. Ltd to buy Rs 3,000 crore loans against its exposure to the non-banking finance company. Now DHFL will only act as a collection agent for the bank for these loans.DHFL is headquartered in Mumbai.

8.National Doctor's Day is observed in India to recognize and appreciate the significant roles and responsibilities of doctors. 2019 theme is ‘Zero tolerance to violence against doctors and clinical establishment’.First Doctor’s Day was celebrated in the year 1991.

9.Director General Krishnaswamy Natarajan took over as the 23rd Chief of Indian Coast Guard. He replaced Rajendra Singh, who was the first cadre officer to head the force. Natarajan is a 5th Batch Officer of the Indian Coast Guard.He has served as the Commander Coast Guard District No.5 in TN.

10.Noted Malayalam movie director Babu Narayanan passed away in Thrissur. He was 59. He debuted in 1989. Anagha, starring Nedumudi Venu, Parvathi and Murali was his first directorial venture. The last movie directed by him was Noora with Love in 2013.His works - Manthrikacheppu, Sthreedhanam, Kudumba Visesham etc.
