1.Pravasi Bharatiya Divas  is a celebratory day observed annually on 9 January by the Republic of India to mark the contribution of the overseas Indian community towards the development of India. 2.World Hindi Day is celebrated on 10th of January. This day was initiated to promote the greatness of Hindi, a language spoken by more than 250 million people in the World.

3.The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) is a multilateral development bank that aims to support the building of infrastructure in the Asia-Pacific region. The bank currently has 56 member states while another 24 are prospective members for a total of 80 approved members and was proposed as an initiative by the government of China .President : Jin Liqun. 5.The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare is going to roll out National Programme for Control of Viral Hepatitis, is going to roll out National Programme for Control of Viral Hepatitis, a new scheme free treatment of Hepatitis C from the 2018-19 financial year. Under the new scheme, the focus will be on anti-viral treatment of Hepatitis C which will be provided free at all government health set-ups.

6.Subhas Chandra Bose (23 January 1897 – 18 August 1945) was an Indian nationalist whose defiant patriotism made him a hero in India, but whose attempt during World War II to rid India of British rule with the help of Nazi Germany and Imperial Japanleft a troubled legacy.

7. National Voters Day : The significance of this day is to encourage more young voters to take part in the political process, Government of India has decided to celebrate January 25 every year as 'National Voters' Day'.It started from January 25, 2011 to mark Commission's foundation day.

9.Singapore-based Indian-origin businessman Sunny Verghese has been appointed as the Chairman of the Geneva-based World Business Council for Sustainable Development.

10.India's National Tourism Day is celebrated on January 25. It was established by the Indian government to raise awareness of the importance of tourism for the country's economy. World Tourism Day : 27th September.
